Two more Air Force football players will receive NFL opportunities.
Running back John Lee Eldridge III received a rookie minicamp invitation from the San Francisco 49ers, while safety Jayden Goodwin landed the same from the Denver Broncos.
Eldridge, who provided several highlight-reel runs that include spin moves, power and the occasion leap over a defender, rushed for 1,365 yards over the past two years as the starting tailback. He scored 10 touchdowns and averaged 7.5 yards per carry over that span.
Goodwin made 73 tackles as a senior in 2023. He had three career interceptions, a pair of forced fumbles and 13 pass deflections.
The Falcons also saw safety Trey Taylor drafted in the seventh round by the Las Vegas Raiders and outside linebacker/edge Bo Richter (Minnesota Vikings) and linebacker Alec Mock (Broncos) sign deals as undrafted free agents on Saturday.
