Chad Johnson recovering: Tee Higgins’ future with Bengals

The future of Tee Higgins with the Cincinnati Bengals is still a contentious issue, and now legendary Bengals player Chad Johnson has offered his opinion. In a recent interview with TMZ, Johnson expressed hope that the two parties would work things out after Higgins asked to be traded out of the team at the start of free agency.

“This time of year is when it always happens. Gamers desire payment. But I believe we can resolve the issue. We’ll work things out.

Johnson continued, saying he has spoken with Higgins on multiple occasions and that the circumstance is just a result of doing business.

Johnson remarked, “I had a few conversations with Tee.” “It’s simply business. That’s just how the business operates. Nevertheless, he will be OK.

Given that Johnson has experience in both the industry and being a successful wide receiver in Cincinnati, Bengals fans will probably be happy to hear these remarks from him.

It appears doubtful that the Bengals will deal Higgins before the next season at this time, with the 2024 NFL Draft already behind us. The two parties still have time to reach a long-term deal before the upcoming offseason because he will remain under team control until the 2019–20 season thanks to the franchise tag.

Higgins has stated unequivocally that he plans to play in Cincinnati the following campaign.

Higgins expressed his expectation to play for the Bengals in the upcoming season. “I never thought I would adore Cincinnati as much as I do. [I’m] excited about it.”

Jermaine Burton, a wide receiver selected by the Bengals in the third round of the 2024 draft, may potentially replace Higgins. However, that might very well depend on how he does in his first campaign. It appears that Higgins will play in the black-and-orange for at least one more season in the interim.
