Mamelodi: Much for Sekhukhune to play for

Despite having virtually secured the DStv Premiershippa title, Mamelodi Sundowns will have a hectic week ahead of them with three games in a span of seven days.

There are two league matches among there, with the crucial Cop Championship League match sandwiched in the center for good measure.

Sundowns may decide to rest several of their first-choice players for Tuesday’s game because to the amount of games they have scheduled over the next few days. This could make it even harder for the hosts to live up to their favorite tag.

Sundowns’ primary emphasis will probably be on their Champions League semi-final second leg matchup with Esperance on Friday in Pretoria.

The Tunisians, who won the first leg 1-0 while hosting it over the weekend, will head to South Africa with confidence.

Sundowns fans were especially disappointed with the result since, in his post-match remarks, coach Rulani Mokwena stated that his team still felt like the superior one.

The last little task for Sundowns is to play Kaizer Chiefs on April 30.

The Premiership log standings indicate that the 10th-place Chiefs should have no trouble competing with the table-toppers. However, Sundowns could level the score by resting a few players following what should be a brutal matchup with Esperance.
