Ja’Marr Chase and one of the undrafted free agents signed by the Cincinnati Bengals are childhood closest buddies.Prior to their final breakup in high school, Chase participated in youth and middle school sports with the 5-foot-10 former Tulane great Lance Robinson. The two have remained close, as has a group of slightly more than six who have known each other since they were five. Now, Robinson will get an opportunity to join his old closest pal on the roster.”I know his inclinations, and he knows mine. We avoided one other’s company. You do, he remarked. your thing, I’ll do my thing.’ I feel like if I can do Robinson remarked, “I can do well against anybody, including him,” as reported by Bengals.com’s Geoff Hobson.
It’s undoubtedly difficult to play Division 1 football for a quality mid-major, so Robinson is hoping to build on his strong debut in Cincinnati.
Because of his extraordinary success, Chase should be able to impart some knowledge to Robinson about covering guys similar to himself, which will help him maintain his spot on the 53-man or practice roster.
Before heading up to the Queen City, Robinson had the opportunity to speak with Chase and receive some guidance.”He told me to do my share,” he said. It’s an uncommon action among people. Having two best buddies on the same squad gives them all-day game effect. “Hopefully, I can catch interceptions, and he can catch touchdowns,” Robinson remarked.
Robinson’s opportunity to make an impact on the staff will soon arrive as offseason training gets underway.
