The new Utah Hockey Club has the chance to build a lasting legacy that revolves around success and retaining a devoted following.
The Quebec Nordiques possessed a substantial fan base and an extensive background. But unlike the Colorado Avalanche, who won the Cup in their inaugural season following their move from Quebec to Denver in the 1995–96 season, they did not.
Utah is in a position to have comparable success. Utah’s new hockey team has continuously struggled and has nearly become the embodiment of a losing team with a struggling fanbase, having just once been in a divisional championship during their whole tenure in Arizona.
Arenas are not filled with losers, and if losing is accepted as the standard, supporter enthusiasm in a team quickly dwindles.
Utah is a new beginning, built on a community that has demonstrated its support for professional sports. Among the league’s most devoted and devoted supporters are the Utah Jazz. This is still the case despite the fact that they haven’t yet won their coveted first title after falling short in their previous meetings with the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan.
