New Orleans Saints should sign UFL superstar…

The New Orleans Saints offense has been gleaming confidence in recent weeks under new OC Klint Kubiak. Players like the new scheme and expect improvement. That doesn’t mean that the Saints are done looking for upgrades in the talent department, though.

Could New Orleans target another reciever/tight end to compete for a roster spot in training camp and the preseason? One former fourth-round pick makes some sense. He recently dominated the UFL.

Butler was named 2024 UFL Offensive Player of the Year. He was one of the best players in the league throughout their spring season.

He probably deserves another shot in the league, and the Saints make a ton of sense for him. He’s a towering pass catcher at 6’4, and New Orleans lost Michael Thomas during this offseason. He has not signed yet, but a return to the Saints seems unlikely.

Butler is a big body that can make plays on jump balls. The Saints have been looking at multiple receivers of Butler’s type during this offseason, including rookie Bub Means.
