For the first time since joining the team in December, Nuno Espírito Santo, the manager of Nottingham Forest, will have the chance to leave his mark on the roster this summer.
Midway through the season, the former Wolves manager took Steve Cooper’s position. He was unable to fully instill his system in the players, but toward the end of the campaign, he showed signs of potential.
He mostly relied on New Zealand international striker Chris Wood to carry the load for the Reds, and the player proved many of his skeptics wrong by scoring 14 Premier League goals.
Nevertheless, despite Wood’s outstanding play for the Garibaldi Red, Nuno wants to add more attackers to his squad in the off-season. One player in particular has been linked to a high-profile move to the City Ground.
