Ohio State football offers an intriguing schedule modification for 2024.

The Ohio State football team has made a small adjustment to their schedule ahead of the next season. The Buckeyes’ non-conference opponents have changed, with Grambling State taking on UConn instead. The matchup between UConn and Grambling State on October 18 has been postponed until September 6th, with the mutual consent of the two institutions. (according to OhioStateBuckeyes.com)

The scheduling for Ohio State won’t be simple. In addition to Michigan, the team’s final-round opponent, they will face teams like Oregon and Penn State. Still, the Buckeyes are a team to be reckoned with. Ohio State won their first 11 games before losing their rivalry game against the Wolverines on November 25, ending 2023 with the second-best record in the Big Ten.

The Buckeyes had to settle for a Cotton Bowl Classic matchup versus Missouri to end their campaign instead of competing in the CFP. They are presently preparing for another run, with Ryan Day set to take over as head coach for a record seventh season.

During the tenure of Urban Meyer, Ohio State last won a national championship in 2014. The Buckeyes have qualified for the College Football Playoffs three times under Ryan Day, including once to the National Championship Game. Still, winning records and postseason appearances are insufficient for a program with the history of Ohio State. Being one of the most well-known teams in college football, the Buckeye faithful demands nothing less than to win the championship each and every year.
