Stoke City are being linked with what would be a surprise move for FC Sion goalkeeper Timothy Fayulu.
Stoke have already brought in Viktor Johansson, aged 25, as number one this summer after triggering a relegation release clause to prise him away from Rotherham United. Ben Gibson, aged 31, has joined too to bolster the centre-half department.
Now Swiss magazine Corner claims that the Potters are in “advanced contact” about a move for Fayulu, who has just helped Sion win promotion to the Swiss top flight by winning 23 out of 36 matches. It was form which earned the Swiss-born Fayulu, aged 24, a call up to the senior Democratic Republic of Congo squad.
