Keary, who was selected for the Ireland rugby league team for the 2022 Rugby League World Cup, was scheduled to retire at the conclusion of the 2024 NRL season due to multiple catastrophic head injuries.
Despite this setback, the Dragons continued to pursue the halfback, with Rugby League Live reporting that an agreement had been reached to bring him to France.
However, it has now been claimed by The Daily Telegraph in Australia that Keary will not change his mind about retiring at the end of the season.
It’s unclear where that leaves the rumors that surfaced in Rugby League Live, but Keary’s recruitment would have been a huge coup for the Dragons.
