JuJu Watkins made a clear opinion of Paige Bueckers

The WNBA draft this year saw the losses of Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink, thus some new stars will be leading the collegiate game in the upcoming season.

The top two players on that ranking are Paige Bueckers of UConn and JuJu Watkins of USC.

Earlier this year, Watkins talked about her experience playing against Bueckers during her Trojans rookie campaign in an episode of Podcast P with Caitlin Clark.

This past season, Bueckers and the Huskies defeated Watkins and the Trojans in the Elite Eight, and the two celebrities embraced at the postgame handshake line.

“Paige is an excellent athlete. It’s fantastic for the game that I was able to experience that bump, so I’m quite glad I did. I grew up observing her in high school, simply to witness her incredible growth and the depth of her experiences. Watkins merely expressed his happiness for her.

Bueckers had the option to be one of the top picks in the WNBA draft this year, but she opted to play collegiate basketball at UConn once more.
