Eric Bocat, a 24-year-old left-back from Sint-Truiden, is close to joining Stoke City. Leicester City was reportedly interested in him back in April.
Although Stoke City finished the previous season in 17th position, they had several strong victories in the last few games.
Some noteworthy additions have greeted this tardy optimism, including Ben Gibson from Norwich City and Viktor Johansson, the standout goalkeeper for Rotherham United.
The Staffordshire-based team is getting down to business now that the transfer window has officially opened, and Bocat appears to be the next in line to join Steven Schumacher’s team.
Stoke supporters will be hoping that this marks the start of a new era as they aim for a far better finish in the English football second division.
