For former first-round pick Dax Hill, the switch from safety to outside corner has gone about as expected through offseason training.
This offseason, the Cincinnati Bengals made the decision to move Hill from safety, where he struggled while starting 17 games in 2023, to outside cornerback, where he will vie for the starting job. As the Bengals broke for the summer, Hill stated recently that the first few workouts were a little strange but that they eventually established a groove.
“It’s been good,” Hill stated, as reported by the Dayton Daily News’ Laurel Pfahler. “I feel comfortable, but it was clearly an adjustment that I will have to make. I have faith in the coaching. I’ve been well-prepared by them. There are now only a few things we can do with OTAs, but they have been preparing me.”
