News Head: Wolves defender on trial with League Two side ahead of …..

Wolves defender Kam Kandola is now on trial, and Cheltenham Town is looking at him, according to a GloucestershireLive article.

This summer, Cheltenham Town is keeping an eye on the young player as they consider making a move. He played for them in a friendly match against Plymouth Argyle over the weekend, and on Friday he is anticipated to play again against Bristol City.

The 20-year-old Kandola is allowed to temporarily link up with the Robins with the possibility of a loan swap, even though his contract with Wolves expires in June 2025. The team led by Michael Flynn is presently getting ready for the next League Two season.

As they try to add some more players, GloucestershireLive reports that they are thinking about making a deal for Kandola. They have already made inroads into the market, bringing in players like Joe Day, Scot Bennett, Luke Young, Owen Evans, and Ryan Haynes, among others.

WOL guy being eyed by Cheltenham Town
Kandola might be seen by Cheltenham Town as a way to increase depth and competition in their defensive lineup.
Throughout his entire career to date, he has been signed to the Wolves roster.

The Wolverhampton native advanced through the local team’s academy system and has played regularly for them at several young levels.

Kandola contributed four goals from the back in 45 games for their Under-18 team.

Since then, he has participated in 32 games for their Under-21 team, six of which were EFL Trophy games.

He hasn’t, however, been loaned out or played for Gary O’Neil’s first team.

For Cheltenham Town trialist, what comes next?
Cheltenham Town’s next matchup is against Bristol City, and they will eventually have to decide whether to make a move for Kandola.

For the Wolves player, a move to the fourth division would be perfect since it would allow him to gain some consistent playing time, which would accelerate his development.
