Nottingham Forest is interested in a 17-goal striker who recently signed…..

A player who was connected to Nottingham Forest during the summer can now be removed from the shortlist as he joined a new team this morning.

The Reds are putting a lot of effort into strengthening their roster this summer behind closed doors. Five new players have signed contracts thus far, and more will undoubtedly follow.

A striker and a winger are still desired by Forest, and one of their attempts to acquire the former has failed.

Taiwo Awoniyi has returned to the Forest team in Spain, and Chris Wood finished the 2023–24 season with 15 goals in all competitions.
The hunt for a striker is still ongoing, though, since one target signed a contract with a different team on the previous day.

Although it came as a bit of a surprise, Che Adams has officially signed a free move to Torino, it was confirmed this morning.

A striker connected to Nottingham Forest joins a new team

The adaptable forward was signed by the Serie A team before Forest and Wolves, who were also thinking about making a move for Adams.

Adams, a striker by trade, participated in a front three last season and can also play as a number 10 in the hold.

The 28-year-old helped Southampton return to the Premier League last season with 17 goals and six assists.

Although he hasn’t had a particularly good Premier League record, he has only scored 25 goals in 124 games.

Torino has already signed Adams to a three-year contract, putting an end to weeks of rumors regarding his future.

Adams must be replaced by Forest.
In the end, Adams would have only served as a squad member, thus it was probably a good decision for Forest to decline his offer.

In order to have a more successful season, the Reds must ensure that they make the appropriate hiring decisions this summer.

Since Awoniyi and Wood are both clearly superior to the forward, Adams would have only served as a backup option.

As a huge supporter of the player, Ally McCoist referred to him as “terrific” for his efforts when he first made his breakthrough with Scotland.

Adams is a reliable player, but moving forward, it will be hoped that Forest can concentrate on signing a striker with greater promise before the season begins.
