İlhan Palut, the coach of Çaykur Rizespor, informed the Turkish media that the team does not anticipate re-signing Jonjo Shelvey, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest.
The player, who had previously played for Newcastle United and Liverpool, spent the previous season on loan with a Super Lig team, with plans to return.
Palut’s remarks when asked if Shevley would be back to Rizespor have been covered by Sporx. Palut disclosed that attempts were made to sign the Nottingham Forest player, but a deal could not be reached.

We reported on news from Turkey last month indicating that Rizespor was trying to re-sign Shelvey but was unable to come to a deal with Nottingham Forest on the transfer fee.
It was reported at the time that Rizespor was only willing to pay €4 million, while the Premier League team was demanding €6 million for the central midfield player.
Shelvey made 29 games and netted two goals in his season with the Turkish team. His deal with Forest expires in June 2025.
