Nuno Espirito Santo Announce the leaving of his three players

Nuno Espirito Santo insists Nottingham Forest are not safe from relegation yet, claiming Luton could still stage one the most remarkable turnaround on the Premier League season’s final day.

This late 3-2 loss to Chelsea dampened Forest’s celebrations. The fans played their part with a raucous atmosphere throughout and Espirito Santo also said his club cannot even think about leaving the City Ground amid reports of a stadium move being considered.

‘We’re disappointed because we wanted to finish it off properly in front of our fans,’ Espirito Santo said.

‘I’ve seen too many things in football to relax. Maybe I’m the only one who isn’t celebrating because there is still work to be done.’

Forest travel to Burnley on the final day with a goal difference of minus 19, while Luton host Fulham on minus 31.

Espirito Santo added: ‘We are positive for the next one to finally finish the job. It’s been hard for the boys with all of the noise around the football club. It’s almost there.’

On the possibility of leaving the City Ground, he said: ‘I hope it doesn’t (happen). It will never be the same. The City Ground is so special. If they ask me, please don’t, please don’t City Council, let us be here.

A twelve goal swing in GD? Will Luton win 6-0 and Forest lose 6-0. That would be enough. Both would end up with the same points and goal diff but Luton would finish above Forest on goals scored. Not
