Sir Paul McCartney returned to the stage to kick off his Got Back tour this weekSir Paul McCartney has given fans a thrilling update about his forthcoming tour. The legendary artist returned to the stage this week to commence the Got Back tour.The global tour has kicked off in Montevideo, Uruguay, this week before making its way to the UK in December. The 82-year-old has unveiled new footage of him rehearsing with his band, where they can be seen performing a new Beatles track, Now and Then.The song, which was released in November 2023, was crafted from a home demo of a ballad that John Lennon had recorded in 1977 but never completed. Surviving band members Sir Paul and Sir Ringo Starr finalised the track using overdubs and guitar tracks from George Harrison, who passed away in 2001.They also utilised AI technology to isolate the vocals from the home demo on the song. Sir Paul had never performed the song live before this week’s concert.
Alongside the new track, Sir Paul can also be heard belting out other classics from the Fab Four including Helter Skelter from 1968’s The Beatles (commonly referred to as The White Album), I’ve Got A Feeling from 1970’s Let It Be, and Carry That Weight from 1969’s Abbey Road, reports the Liverpool Echo
