Breaking News: Just now Derby County striker has just confirmed major injury for out of season……

Curtis Nelson will get the plaudits but ‘immense’ Derby County ace was just as important in QPR win

One Derby County star went under the radar following an assured performance vs QPR.

Derby County managed yet another win on home turf as they saw off a lacklustre Queens Park Rangers side 2-0.

The Rams’ start to the season has been brilliant, and that was embodied by several performances at the weekend, with Curtis Nelson most certainly taking centre stage with a well-taken goal, alongside a brilliant defensive display.

Marcus Harness also bagged himself his first goal for Derby County, and Paul Warne as a result will be left with a difficult decision following the international break over whether the winger will start yet again due to the width available in wide areas.

There was another Derby County gem that went under the radar for the Rams, and it wasn’t the first time he has put in a solid display at Pride Park in the 2024/25 Championship campaign.

Derby County star Ebou Adams was terrific against Queens Park Rangers

The Rams’ midfield continues to be Warne’s side’s strong suit, and with the options of Kenzo Goudmijn and Ben Osborn, as well as the injured David Ozoh, there are no surprises to see this as the case.

However, one midfielder that particularly stood out at the weekend was Ebou Adams, who Derby County were able to shrewdly bring back to the club on a permanent deal this summer.

Per SofaScore, the ‘immense’ midfielder managed 50 touches, and was instrumental in Derby County’s playmaking with an 83% passing accuracy. However, his real qualities showed in his defensive play as he was able to incredibly win 11 duels in the centre-of-the-park, whilst also making two clearances and eight tackles.
